Growing Together: An LGBTQ+ Fund is celebrating Pride Month with a community brunch at The Penny SLO! Join us for a beautiful spread from local favorites Skippers Coffee, Brick and Mortar Catering with complimentary mimosas, and support local LGBTQ+ programs. This event will feature keynote speaker Nicole Santamaria, Executive Director of El/La Para TransLatinas, San Francisco. Nicole has expertise in healing justice and anti-violence work and has been providing support to transgender women and survivors of violence for over 15 years. Using a trauma-informed lens, she develops El/La’s diverse programs, supports staff growth, and serves as El/La’s representative to the public at large. Growing Together: An LGBTQ+ Fund is requesting a charitable donation of $20-$50 to attend this event. Admission, which is generously funded separate from your donation amount, includes: full brunch buffet, coffee bar, 2 mimosa tickets, and keynote speaker program. Donation will support Growing Together: An LGBTQ+ Fund operations in order to continue outreach, educational, and community events. In order to offer a sliding scale registration fee, there is only one ticket allotted per transaction. You may purchase up to 2 tickets, which would require 2 transactions. Thank you for your understanding. This is a 21 and over event. Thanks to the generous underwriting of this event, no goods or services were provided in return for the donation. Charitable contributions of $250.00 or more claimed as tax deductible contributions must be supported by written receipts from charitable organizations. Your gift will be used exclusively for charitable purposes. The Community Foundation has exclusive legal control of this gift and no goods or services have been provided in exchange for this gift. Please retain this written acknowledgement for income tax purposes. Before claiming a charitable deduction for federal income tax purposes, please consult with your tax advisor. BBP has an amazing team of regulars and part-time volunteers who are committed to helping others. We take our convictions and turn them into action. With decades of experience throwing a myriad of successful events, we are prepared for just about anything!
BBP, LLC was created by Jean Mussen Balsz, CEO as a platform to run her super gay agenda. All kidding aside, some of the main goals of the company are to facilitate showcasing local Drag and Burlesque talent, focusing on fundraising for non-profits and generally showing SLO County a good time in a safe, sane and socially responsible fashion.
We focus on local volunteerism, artistic creativity, community building and empowering others.
We are proud to be affiliated with the local non-profit Stoke the World, a registered 501(c)(3). Your donation will be used to help with operating costs to keep this non-profit running -- and all donations are tax deductible! Check them out at: www.stoketheworld.org
(For VenMo donations, please use @StoketheWorld-LLC)
PLEASE MAKE A NOTE WHEN DONATING -- THIS DONATION IS TO DIRECTLY BENEFIT STW, THANKS!
